Assistant Superintendent, Personnel and Pupil Services
ABOUT THE POSITION
In Personnel Services, the position of Assistant Superintendent, Personnel and Pupil Services plans, organizes, and directs the certificated and classified personnel functions of the Cucamonga School District (District), including recruiting, position posting, interviewing, staff employment, creating and maintaining job descriptions, advising on credential requirements, monitoring evaluations, and compliance of legal requirements. The Board of Trustees and Superintendent maintain an expectation of hiring and keeping nothing less than the highest qualified team of employees to serve the children in the District’s schools. The Personnel Department currently manages approximately 178 certificated and management employees and approximately 206 classified employees.
In Pupil Services, this position oversees special education, discipline and hearings, inter/intradistrict transfers, child welfare, and attendance and health services. To view the full job description, click here.
ABOUT THE DISTRICT
The District is located in the western region of San Bernardino County in the Cities of Rancho Cucamonga and Ontario. As one of four K-8 elementary school districts in the city, the students feed into the Chaffey Joint Union High School District. The District has three elementary schools (K-5) and one middle school (6-8) serving a diverse student population of approximately 2,443.

QUALIFICATIONS
California Administrative Services Credential
California Teaching Credential
Master’s degree or equivalent
Five years of successful administrative experience at elementary and/or unified levels in a site and/or district level administrative position to include the supervision of site level special education programs and personnel
Background and knowledge of personnel practices, procedures, and legal considerations
Background and knowledge of pupil personnel practices, procedures, and legal considerations
Ability to develop, organize, administer, and evaluate the Personnel Services Programs of the District and Pupil Personnel Services and Programs
SALARY
The salary range for this position is $186,524 to $245,589. In addition to this salary, a generous benefits package is offered.
